Caring Hands appreciates that there are many organisations working with the expat community in Spain.

Many of the these organisations use their limited resources to focus very successfully on individual areas such as Cancer support as with MABS. Translations or visits to the doctor or hospital and loan equipment as with 'HELP'

There are of course many others but Caring Hands has chosen to provide the in home help and support that cannot be provided without experience and an infrastructure as the Open Door Foundation was set up to provide.

Caring Hands is willing, able and delighted to work with any other agency providing support to expats in this area.

Caring Hands recognises that many older adults simply require some services from us, or require a complete package of care. 

In all aspects of care that we provide, we always acknowledge the dignity and rights that you, as an individual, require. We are more than happy to visit and discuss what care you would require from us. 

Caring Hands will discuss with the person, their family, care-giver, support agency or medical professional on what ‘actual care’ is required. The majority of the care and treatment we can provide and formally organise provides a flexible approach. We realise that your needs will change, and we are always pleased to adapt specific inputs of care to meet those needs. 

Caring Hands realises that some older adults may suffer from serious mental illness, and may receive intensive support and treatment. We acknowledge this and adapt immediate care to these situations. 

Caring Hands acknowledges the associated ‘stigma’ and ‘labelling’ that can be attached to having a ‘mental health diagnosis’ which includes dementia. We continue as a professional agency to respect and maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times.
